Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025: PM Modi’s initiative to tackle exam stress breaks records with over 5 crore participants

Examinations often bring anxiety and stress to students and their families, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” (PPC) initiative has been changing that narrative. Set to take place at 11 AM on February 10, the 8th edition of PPC promises to offer another interactive platform where the Prime Minister directly engages with students, teachers, and parents. This year’s event will continue to focus on addressing exam-related stress while promoting a positive approach toward learning and life.

The 2025 edition of PPC has already broken records with over 5 crore participants, underscoring the growing significance of the initiative as a Jan Andolan (mass movement). This year’s event will also feature the participation of 36 students from various educational institutions, including State/UT Board Government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, and others.

PPC 2025 will be divided into seven episodes, with prominent personalities sharing their expertise on various topics related to life and learning. For instance, in the episode on sports and discipline, M.C. Mary Kom, Avani Lekhara, and Suhas Yathiraj will discuss goal-setting, resilience, and stress management. In the mental health segment, Deepika Padukone will highlight the importance of emotional well-being and self-expression. Nutrition experts such as Shonali Sabherwal, Rujuta Diwekar, and Revant Himatsingka will talk about healthy eating habits and overall wellness, while Gaurav Chaudhary (Technical Guruji) and Radhika Gupta will explore the use of technology in education and the significance of financial literacy. Vikrant Massey and Bhumi Pednekar will inspire students to embrace positivity and manage negative thoughts, while Sadhguru will introduce practical mindfulness techniques for mental clarity and focus. Additionally, toppers from various competitive exams such as UPSC, IIT-JEE, and CBSE will share how PPC shaped their preparation and mindset.

The PPC initiative has come a long way over the years. The program’s success can be traced through several milestones. In 2024, the seventh edition garnered an impressive 2.26 crore registrations, including students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools, showcasing the initiative’s inclusivity. The sixth edition in 2023, held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, attracted over 718,000 students and 88,000 parents who tuned in for live interactions with the Prime Minister. The fifth edition, held in 2022, marked the return of physical interactions after the pandemic, drawing nearly 1 million participants. In 2021, the event was conducted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on resilience and adaptability. In 2020, the Town Hall format of the event attracted over 2.63 lakh entries from students across India and abroad. The second edition in 2019 continued to see increased participation, with students, teachers, and parents applauding the Prime Minister’s insightful observations. The inaugural edition of PPC in 2018 set the tone for future editions, with Prime Minister Modi emphasizing holistic development, resilience, and the need for balance during exams.

PPC has evolved into an essential platform for addressing exam-related stress and offering practical solutions. Prime Minister Modi’s engagement with students has helped bridge the gap between policy and practice, empowering students to excel under pressure. The initiative’s inclusivity and innovative approach have positioned it as a cornerstone of student engagement across India, continuing to inspire and support students in their educational journeys.
