Paris 2024: Ankita-Dhiraj moves to quarters in archery recurve mixed team event

India’s archery team of Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara managed to get the better of Indonesia’s Diananda Choirunisa and Arif Pangestu by a margin of 5-1 in the mixed team 1/8 elimination round of the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday.

The Indian duo won with set scores of 37-36, 38-38, and 38-37, securing their spot in the quarterfinals.

Dhiraj and Ankita consistently shot 9s, with Ankita stepping up her game by hitting 10s in her final three attempts, propelling the pair into the last eight

Ankita and Dhiraj will now face either Spain or the People’s Republic of China in the quarterfinal of the archery recurve mixed team event.
