India’s men’s hockey team won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Spain, thanks to skipper Harmanpreet Singh’s double strike.
The match saw the Indian team trailing by a goal, but they mounted an impressive comeback as captain Harmanpreet netted the equaliser seconds before the half-time hooter.
Earlier, Spain skipper Marc Miralles opened the scoring with 11 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter.
With this win, India have reclaimed the third spot on the podium, taking the country’s medal tally to four.
