The Upper House passed the bill with amendments on Wednesday and returned it to the Lok Sabha the same day. Shah will also introduce The Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025, which seeks to grant the Central Government specific powers regarding passport and travel document requirements for individuals entering and exiting India.
