Dubai will see Paul Reiffel and Richard Illingworth, both from the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, officiate the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand this Sunday.
Both umpires were involved in the semi-final matches, with Illingworth standing in India’s victory over Australia, and Reiffel officiating New Zealand’s win against South Africa. Illingworth, a four-time ICC Umpire of the Year, brings extensive experience, having also stood in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final and the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He also officiated the group stage match between India and New Zealand during this tournament.
Joel Wilson will serve as the third umpire, a role he also held in the 2023 Cricket World Cup final, and Kumar Dharmasena will be the fourth umpire.
Ranjan Madugalle, of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will oversee the match.
