PM K P Sharma Oli Advocates for Result-Oriented Approach to Corruption Control

Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has emphasized the importance of result-oriented efforts in controlling corruption, stressing that it should not merely be a topic of discussion but must involve judicial investigation and tangible outcomes.

During a session of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Oli addressed various concerns raised by Members of Parliament. He indicated that the Nepalese constitution could be amended to better reflect the experiences of its implementation and align with the aspirations and needs of the nation. Such amendments, he noted, would be carried out with the consensus of the political parties.

Oli highlighted the positive developments in Nepal’s economy since the formation of the government, pointing to a noticeable improvement in the capital market and a renewed sense of optimism and confidence among private sector investors. These positive indicators, according to the Prime Minister, are the result of the government’s policies aimed at achieving the nation’s objectives.

He also underscored the unity between the two major political parties, the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress, in steering the country towards political stability, effective governance, economic growth, social justice, and overall prosperity. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a policy of zero tolerance towards corruption, pledging to tackle the issue through a robust legal framework that prioritizes both control and prevention.
