PM Modi congratulates Janez Jansa on becoming Slovenia Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Janez Jansa on his election as the Prime Minister of Slovenia and expressed confidence in further strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi extended his wishes to Janša and said he looked forward to working closely with him to deepen India-Slovenia relations for the “shared prosperity and mutual benefit” of the people of both nations.

“Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Janez Jansa on his election as the Prime Minister of Slovenia. I look forward to working closely with him to further strengthen our bilateral ties for the shared prosperity and mutual benefit of our people,” PM Modi said in his post.

Slovenia’s parliament elected Jansa as Prime Minister in a secret ballot on May 22. He won 51 votes from MPs in the 90-seat parliament.
