In a telephonic conversation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed his gratitude to Italian Prime Minister Meloni for the invitation to participate in the G7 Summit Outreach Sessions, scheduled for June 2024 in Puglia, Italy.
PM Modi and his Italian counterpart PM Meloni discussed various topics of mutual interest, including strengthening their countries’ strategic partnership and global issues. The discussion took place as PM Modi extended his greetings on the 79th anniversary of Italy’s Liberation Day.
During the call, Both leaders emphasized the importance of building on the achievements of India’s G20 Presidency to support the Global South and plan to carry this momentum into the G7 Summit under Italy’s leadership.
The leaders also discussed current events on both regional and global scales, reiterating their dedication to bolstering the bilateral strategic partnership between India and Italy.
