The CISF, established in 1969, plays a crucial role in protecting critical infrastructure such as airports, metro networks, and industrial units across the country. With its specialized training and operational excellence, the force continues to be a vital pillar of India’s security framework.

The CISF Raising Day is observed annually on March 10 to commemorate the force’s formation and recognize its contributions to national security.
