PM Modi shares ‘divine’ experience from sacred visit to Prayagraj

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared glimpses of his sacred visit to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, describing it as a moment of profound spiritual connection.

Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister posted a video and wrote, “Here are highlights from a very divine visit to Prayagraj.”

During the visit, PM Modi participated in a ceremonial ‘Snan’ at the Triveni Sangam—the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. He described the experience as deeply transformative and filled with devotion.

“Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, and like the crores of others who have taken part in it, I was also filled with a spirit of devotion,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.

He further invoked the blessings of the holy river, saying, “May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health, and harmony.”

PM Modi’s visit also included offering prayers at the Triveni Sangam and a boat tour on the Yamuna River alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The visit coincided with the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025, a global spiritual and cultural gathering that began on Paush Purnima (January 13) and will conclude on Mahashivratri (February 26). The event has drawn millions of devotees from around the world.

By 8 AM on Wednesday, over 3.748 million devotees had taken a holy dip at the Sangam, including more than 10 lakh Kalpvasis and 2.748 million pilgrims who arrived early seeking divine blessings.

Government data reveals that the total number of bathers since the Mahakumbh began has surpassed 382 million as of February 4, highlighting its unparalleled spiritual and cultural significance.

In line with his commitment to preserving India’s cultural heritage, PM Modi has consistently promoted infrastructure improvements at pilgrimage sites. On a previous visit to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, he inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore, aimed at boosting connectivity and enhancing facilities for the public.
