PM Modi shares Ravneet Singh Bittu’s article on railway modernisation in Punjab

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared an article written by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu highlighting how railway modernisation and improved connectivity are driving development and creating new opportunities in Punjab.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said “In Punjab, modern railway stations and an improved network are opening new paths to progress. This transformation is bringing a wealth of opportunities for the people here.”

He further praised Bittu’s article, saying it effectively captures the changing infrastructure landscape in the state and the impact of railway development on connectivity and economic growth.

PM Modi’s remarks come amid the Centre’s continued focus on railway modernisation projects across the country, including redevelopment of railway stations, expansion of rail connectivity, infrastructure upgrades, and enhancement of passenger facilities under various flagship initiatives.

Officials said that railway development projects in Punjab are expected to improve transportation efficiency, boost trade and tourism, generate employment opportunities, and strengthen regional connectivity.
