PM Modi to address rally in Dumka as campaigning heats up in Jharkhand

Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to campaign in the Dumka parliamentary constituency of Jharkhand on Tuesday. PM Modi will address a public meeting at the Dumka Airport Ground in support of BJP candidate Sita Soren, the daughter-in-law of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Soren. Sita Soren is contesting against Nalin Soren of the JMM.

Other political heavyweights are also set to campaign in Jharkhand this week. BJP President JP Nadda will hold three election meetings on Wednesday in Deoghar, while senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address rallies in the state on May 30.

The final phase of elections in Jharkhand will take place on June 1, with polling in the three constituencies of Godda, Dumka, and Sahibganj in the Santhal region.
