PM Modi unveils development projects Worth Rs 34,000 Crore in Azamgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated, dedicated, and laid the foundation stone of development projects collectively valued at over Rs 34,000 crore in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking at the event, PM Modi highlighted the significance of hosting such initiatives in regions like Azamgarh, symbolizing a shift from the traditional centralized approach. He hailed Azamgarh's emergence from its erstwhile tag of backwardness, heralding a new era of progress and prosperity.

Among the key highlights of the event, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for terminal buildings at 15 airports across the nation, with a combined investment exceeding Rs 9,800 crore. Notable mentions include the inauguration of terminal buildings at Pune, Delhi, and Lucknow airports, along with the laying of foundation stones for new terminals at Kadapa, Hubballi, and Belagavi airports.

Emphasizing the government's commitment to timely project completion, PM Modi cited the swift construction of the Gwalior terminal in just 16 months, underscoring the administration's dedication to facilitating seamless air travel for all citizens.

PM Modi reiterated the government's focus on bolstering education, water, and environmental initiatives. He assured the people of Azamgarh of sustained development, affirming the region's transition into a bastion of perpetual progress with enhanced accessibility to essential services like airports, hospitals, and medical colleges.

Addressing the broader regional context, PM Modi highlighted the transformative shift from divisive politics to a development-centric approach, particularly under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He lauded the inclusive growth model that extends modern infrastructure beyond metropolitan hubs to smaller towns and villages, thereby fostering equitable development across the nation.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of various railway projects aimed at enhancing connectivity across districts like Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Gazipur, and Prayagraj, alongside significant strides in rural infrastructure under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

Prime Minister Modi reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to farmers' welfare, citing substantial increases in Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for key crops like sugarcane. He emphasized the clearance of pending dues for sugarcane farmers and highlighted initiatives in biogas and ethanol production to further augment agricultural income.

The Prime Minister's address underscored the pivotal role of transparent governance in driving unprecedented development, affirming the government's resolve to combat corruption and foster accountable administration.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the transformative potential of government initiatives for Eastern Uttar Pradesh, envisioning a future empowered by education, infrastructure, and youth-driven progress. He commended Uttar Pradesh's pivotal role in shaping national development, citing exemplary implementation of central schemes and significant strides in infrastructure and employment generation.
