Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the arrival of a new member at his official Lok Kalyan Marg residence in New Delhi. In a heartwarming video shared on X, the Prime Minister introduced a newborn calf, which he has named ‘Deepjyoti’.
The calf, born to a cow living at the premises of the Prime minister’s residence bears a unique mark on its forehead, resembling a symbol of light. This distinctive feature inspired the name ‘Deepjyoti’, which translates to ‘light of the lamp’.
“In the Prime Minister’s residence, the beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, which has a symbol of light on its forehead. Hence, I have named it ‘Deepjyoti’,” the Prime Minister said.
Sharing a video on X, PM Modi wrote “It is said in our scriptures – ‘Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada:’. There has been an auspicious arrival of a new member into Prime Minister Family on Lok Kalyan Marg,”
The video shared by the Prime Minister offers a glimpse into his interaction with the newborn calf. PM Modi can be seen welcoming Deepjyoti with prayers and affection, gently petting and playing with the animal. In a touching moment, he plants soft kisses on the calf’s forehead. The footage also shows the Prime Minister holding the calf and taking a leisurely stroll through the garden of his official residence.
This isn’t the first time PM Modi has shown his affection for cows at his residence. Earlier this year, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, he was seen feeding cows at the same location.
