Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended warm birthday greetings to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, acknowledging his key contributions to India’s infrastructure development.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Birthday wishes to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is making notable contributions towards upgrading critical infrastructure in India. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life.”
Several senior leaders and cabinet colleagues also extended their greetings to the veteran BJP leader on his 68th birthday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Warm wishes to my cabinet colleague Nitin Gadkari on his birthday. I pray for your continued good health and long life to keep serving the nation.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised Gadkari’s innovative leadership, posting, “Known for his innovative thinking and result-oriented approach, he has played a vital role in strengthening India’s infrastructure and driving progress on the ground. Wishing him good health and continued success in his service to the nation.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also posted his wishes, calling Gadkari a “hard-working and popular politician.”
“I pray to Shri Siddhivinayak, Lord Shri Ganesha for your prosperous, long and healthy life,” he added.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde extended greetings, saying, “May you live a healthy and prosperous life, I pray to the feet of Mother Jagdambe.”
Born on May 27, 1957, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari began his political journey with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and later with the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
He entered the Lok Sabha in 2014, winning from the Nagpur constituency by a significant margin. Since then, he has served as the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways across three consecutive terms of the NDA government.
