In a major show of BJP, PM Modi, the star campaigner for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is set to hold a massive roadshow in Patna on Sunday.
This will be the first-ever roadshow by a Prime Minister in the state. According to the state BJP office, the roadshow will commence from Dak Bungalow Crossing (Shriram Chowk) and traverse through prominent locations like SP Verma Road, Exhibition Road Crossing, Uma Cinema, Kadamkuan, Sahitya Sammelan, Thakurbari Road, before culminating at Udyog Bhawan.
Several routes in the state capital will witness traffic diversions and restrictions on vehicular movement. After Sunday noon, vehicles will not be permitted on Nehru Marg, Exhibition, and Fraser Road. Traffic will also be diverted on Raj Bhavan, Kadamkuan, Nala Road, and Ashok Rajpath.
Air passengers heading to the airport from Patel Golambar will be allowed to proceed only after showing their tickets from 6 PM onwards. After that, they will have to take an alternative route to reach the airport. At Patna Junction, vehicles will only be allowed to pass under the GPO Golambar.
The traffic police have urged passengers going to Patna Junction to catch trains to use the Karbigahiya end. Traffic SP Ashok Kumar Chaudhary said that only government vehicles, ambulances, and emergency vehicles would be permitted on the restricted routes during the roadshow.
