President Murmu emphasises ideals of Ram Rajya for nation building

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday visited the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, where she offered prayers and had darshan of Ram Lalla.

During her visit, the President performed aarti at various locations within the temple complex and participated in the Shri Ram Yantra Sthapana and pujan rituals.

Addressing the gathering, President Murmu described the visit as a “supreme privilege,” saying it was a blessed occasion to be in Ayodhya – the birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram – on the auspicious day of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, which marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year and the first day of Navratri.

She highlighted key milestones associated with the temple, including the Bhoomi Pujan, the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Lalla idol, the opening of the Ram Darbar for devotees, and the hoisting of the religious flag atop the temple spire, calling them “golden moments” in India’s cultural and historical journey.

Emphasising the relevance of Ram Rajya in modern times, the President said that its ideals represent the highest standards of social harmony and economic prosperity. She noted that the vision of a developed and inclusive India resonates with the concept of Ram Rajya, as described by Goswami Tulsidas, where no one is deprived, sorrowful, or lacking in moral values.

President Murmu expressed confidence that, with the blessings of Prabhu Shri Ram, India would achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, possibly even earlier. She said that the country is witnessing a renaissance across economic, social, political, and cultural dimensions.

Calling for unity and collective effort, the President urged citizens to move forward with a spirit of togetherness and devotion, stressing that adherence to the ideals of Ram Rajya would help build a nation rooted in morality and righteous conduct.

She concluded by encouraging people to embrace a sense of kinship and actively contribute to nation-building.
