President Murmu extends Easter greetings, calls for peace and harmony

President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday extended her greetings to citizens across the country on the eve of Easter, highlighting the festival’s message of compassion, forgiveness, and unity.

In her message, the President conveyed her best wishes to all citizens, particularly members of the Christian community in India and abroad.

Describing Easter as a significant festival of Christianity, she noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ inspires people to uphold the values of truth, love, sacrifice, and compassion.

President Murmu also urged citizens to use the occasion to renew their commitment to fostering harmony, peace, and brotherhood in society, and to work collectively towards building a better future.

Easter, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is one of the most important festivals in the Christian calendar and is celebrated with great devotion and joy across the world.
