President Murmu, President Aleksandar Vučić Eye Deeper Cooperation in AI, Manufacturing, Tourism

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday met President Aleksandar Vučić . The President expressed her gratitude to President Vučić and the Government of Serbia for the gracious hospitality extended during her visit, and noted that India and Serbia share a special bond rooted in their roles as co-founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.

She emphasised that this enduring partnership continues to find relevance today, with both countries having an important role to play in advancing cooperation and shared priorities in the Global South.

President Murmu pointed out that, given the competence of both Serbia and India in artificial intelligence, the field offers significant scope for deepened collaboration. She added that there is good potential to expand bilateral trade and investment, with areas such as IT, manufacturing, agriculture, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, tourism and education emerging as important pillars for engagement in the coming years.

The two leaders agreed that immense potential exists to further deepen bilateral cooperation between India and Serbia. They emphasised the value of continued cooperation for the mutual benefit and prosperity of the peoples of both countries.
