The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is all set to grace the silver jubilee of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly at Raipur on Monday, according to an official statement from the President’s secretariat on Sunday.
In view of the risk of the Naxal-related activities in the state, the security of the president has been tightened. Police personnel have been deployed, be it at Raipur airport or Chhattisgarh State Assembly. The police personnel conducted the final rehearsal on Sunday.
The sources say that four sectors will take care of the security of the President of India, who will be safeguarded by 700 police personnel. The Raipur Inspector General of Police and Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police will take care of the entire responsibility of the president’s security.
The sources further say that the President is scheduled to arrive at the Raipur airport via a special plane and then move to Chhattisgarh Assembly. Then, after a photo session with the MLAs, she will plant a tree.
Thereafter, she will speak to the MLAs, followed by a meeting with the Governor and Chief Minister of the state.
Apart from this, the foundation day ceremony of Bharatiya Biswabasu Shabar Samaj at Kaliapalli, Nayagarh, Odisha, will also be attended by the President.
