Selling and distribution of fish, meat and alcohol has been prohibited for three days in Janakpurdham in view of Sitaram Vivah Panchami Mahotsav festival.
The District Administration Office of Janakpur issued a notice today, imposing prohibitory orders in Dhanusha on the sale and distribution of fish, meat and alcohol from 12 midnight of December 14 until midnight of December 17.
To ensure the celebration of the week-long Vivah Panchami festival in a safe, peaceful, dignified and cordial environment, legal action is to be taken against people violating the order.
Slaughtering of animals and birds, transportation, selling and distribution of fish and meat as well as sale, supply and consumption of alcohol has been strictly prohibited within the Parikrama zone and on either side of the Parikrama Road in Janakpurdham during vivah panchami celebration period.
