The Sports Authority of India (SAI), in collaboration with MyBharat, has launched three nationwide engagement initiatives ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030, which are set to be hosted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The initiatives aim to encourage youth participation, creativity and public engagement in India’s sporting movement under the campaign theme “#CWG2030InBharat”.
The three initiatives include the Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest, the CWG Reel Challenge, and the Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz. All three programmes are free of cost and open to MyBharat users across the country.
The Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest invites participants to design a torch inspired by India’s cultural heritage, innovation, sustainability and sporting excellence. Entries can be submitted in digital or hand-drawn formats along with an optional concept note of up to 200 words. The contest will run from May 11 to May 20, 2026, and selected winners will receive Fit India hampers and recognition certificates.
Under the CWG Reel Challenge, participants are encouraged to create original short reels showcasing India’s growing sporting culture, fitness movement, local sports infrastructure and enthusiasm for hosting the Commonwealth Games 2030. Participants can also include messages supporting India’s bid and wishing the Indian contingent success for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The challenge, which began on May 7, will continue till May 16, 2026, with the top five creators set to receive Fit India hampers.
The Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz has also been launched to promote awareness about India’s sporting achievements and its journey in the Commonwealth Games. The quiz contains 10 multiple-choice questions to be completed within five minutes, with participants required to score at least eight marks to qualify. The quiz will remain open from May 9 to September 26, 2026, and five winners will be selected every week. Participation certificates will also be provided.
According to Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the initiatives are designed to generate nationwide enthusiasm for the Commonwealth Games 2030 while promoting creativity, fitness and national pride among young people.
The launch of these programmes comes as India intensifies preparations and public outreach efforts for hosting the Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad in 2030, positioning the event as a major milestone in the country’s sporting ambitions and global sporting presence.
