Slovak Ambassador to India, Robert Maxian, expressed the importance of the Raisina Dialogue for his country, emphasizing Slovakia’s active involvement in India’s developments. Speaking to ANI on Monday, Maxian said that Slovakia’s participation in the prestigious event with a “powerful delegation” demonstrates the nation’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and engaging in India’s growth trajectory.
Maxian highlighted the “booming” relationship between India and Slovakia, pointing out that bilateral trade had surpassed 1.3 billion euros in the previous year. He added that Slovak investors have been increasingly active in India, signaling growing economic cooperation.
“This event is very important for us, and it is supported by a high-level delegation I am bringing to India,” said Maxian. “I am accompanied by the Minister of Finance, the State Secretary, and over 30 business people. Our powerful delegation is a clear demonstration of Slovakia’s active involvement in India’s development and its ambitious vision for 2047 as a developed nation.”
The Ambassador further expressed Slovakia’s desire to contribute to India’s “Developed India 2047” initiative, noting that the Indo-Slovak ties have reached new heights in both economic and cultural spheres. “The business ties between our nations are at an all-time high, and beyond trade, there are very positive developments in cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections,” he added.
The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, co-hosted by India’s Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), is set to begin on March 17. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference, with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon delivering the keynote address. The event will run until March 19.
The Raisina Dialogue is India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, designed to address global challenges. This year’s theme, “Kalachakra: People, Peace, Planet,” will explore six key thematic areas: ‘Politics Interrupted: Shifting Sands and Rising Tides,’ ‘Resolving the Green Trilemma,’ ‘Digital Planet: Agents, Agencies and Absences,’ ‘Militant Mercantilism: Trade, Supply Chains and the Exchange Rate Addiction,’ ‘The Tiger’s Tale: Rewriting Development with a New Pen,’ and ‘Investing in Peace: Drivers, Institutions and Leadership.’
With nearly 3,500 attendees, including over 800 speakers and delegates from around 125 countries, the Raisina Dialogue will bring together heads of state, ministers, diplomats, policy planners, military leaders, and eminent thinkers from various fields.
