India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has further strengthened her position at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings, following consistent performances in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Mandhana struck consecutive half-centuries in the tournament, including a brilliant 88 against England in Indore, despite India narrowly losing the contest. Her recent form has helped her extend her lead as the No. 1 ranked ODI batter to 83 points, ahead of England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has amassed 191 runs in the tournament so far.
Mandhana has been in sublime touch, having earlier been named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025 for her stellar performances in the ODI series against Australia leading into the World Cup.
Australia captain Alyssa Healy climbed one place to joint-third after scoring back-to-back centuries in the tournament, while South Africa’s in-form opener Tazmin Brits moved up one spot to ninth following a string of solid contributions.
There was movement just outside the top 10 as well. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur rose three places to 15th, Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield advanced five spots to 17th, and England veteran Heather Knight surged 15 places to 18th, all on the back of impressive batting displays.
In the bowling rankings, England spinner Sophie Ecclestone continues to dominate the ODI bowlers’ list. India’s Deepti Sharma climbed three spots to third after an impressive haul of 13 wickets in five World Cup matches, while Australia’s Alana King moved up two places to seventh.
Pakistan’s bowlers also made notable gains – Nashra Sundhu rose three spots to 11th, Sadia Iqbal advanced five places to joint-14th, and Fatima Sana climbed five spots to 24th. Fatima also made progress in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings, improving five places to 15th.
Australia’s Ash Gardner continues to lead the all-rounders’ list, while Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu rose one spot to seventh.
