Special Campaign 5.0 underway to promote cleanliness, clear pending matters: Tourism Ministry

The Ministry of Tourism and its affiliated organisations are actively participating in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, aimed at promoting cleanliness and expediting the resolution of pending files.

The campaign involves the Ministry’s India Tourism Offices, Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs), Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), and Programme Divisions.

According to the Ministry, a total of 6,429 targets have been identified and uploaded on the SCDPM portal for the ongoing campaign. Additionally, 413 sites have been earmarked for cleanliness drives under the initiative. Over 4,700 physical files and 1,100 e-office files have also been identified for review.

So far, 1,553 activities have been completed, accounting for 24.15 per cent of the total targets. The campaign has resulted in freeing up 14,095 sq. ft. of office space and generating Rs 1,72,991 through scrap disposal.

The progress of the campaign is being closely monitored and regularly updated on the SCDPM portal, hosted by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

The Ministry of Tourism and its field offices and institutes are also promoting the ongoing activities through regular social media updates, showcasing the government’s efforts to maintain cleanliness and administrative efficiency as part of Special Campaign 5.0.
