The in-form Sonal Dinusha and Keshara Nuwantha led Sri Lanka’s fightback as the hosts stretched their lead to 116 runs at lunch on the final day of the second Test against India here on Thursday.
Resuming on the overnight score of 229 for six, the duo added 100 runs in the opening session to reach 329/6 at lunch.
Dinusha (55 not out) scored an unbeaten fifty while Nuwantha (46 not out) was close to getting his half century.
