Vande Bharat Express on a trial run from Patna to Ranchi

The wait for the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express between Patna and Ranchi ended on Monday. The Vande Bharat Express left Patna for Ranchi at 7 a.m. today. Before departure, the train was duly worshipped at Patna Junction and flagged off for Ranchi. The semi-high-speed train left Patna Junction at 6.55 a.m. and will reach Ranchi at 1 p.m. via Gaya and Barkakana.

The train reached Gaya at 08.20 am, and after stopping here for 10 minutes, it departed at 08.30 hrs. and will reach Ranchi at 13.00 hrs. In return, the Ranchi to Patna train will depart at 14.20 hrs and will reach Gaya at 19.00 hrs, and from here it will leave at 19.10 hrs to reach Patna at 20.25 hrs.

It is noteworthy that the Vande Bharat Express will have stoppages at six stations between Patna and Ranchi. After opening from Patna, this train will have stoppages at Jehanabad, Gaya, Koderma, Barkakana, Hazaribagh and Mesra. The timing of this train will be fixed during the trial, but some changes can also be made after the trial.

An indigenously manufactured, semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat Express now operates on more than 14 routes in the country, joining several important cities and reducing time of the journey sufficiently. Ever since its launch in 2019, the train has become a popular mode of transport in the country. 

Vande Bharat Express is much faster and lighter than several other trains in the country. The train was initially launched for travel from the national capital Delhi to Varanasi, but now operates on several routes across the country. 

Keeping in mind the convenience of the tourists, the Central Government is also running different types of circuit trains like Bharat Gaurav circuit trains.
