Rajnath Singh felicitates team after 20 unclimbed Ladakh peaks summited in 23 days
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday flagged in a mountaineering expedition after a team from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, made the first recorded ascents of 20 previously unclimbed peaks in Ladakh in just 23 days. The peaks, all above 6,000 metres, are located in the Chamser-Lungser, Gyama Nala and Chokula areas of the Ladakh Range, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
