Three Croatian climbers were killed after an avalanche struck below the Toska mountain peak in Slovenia's Julian Alps on Sunday, rescuers said on Monday. The search for the trekkers, who went climbing despite weather warnings, began on Sunday when rescuers found the body of one of them before being forced to suspend the operation due to bad conditions. A total of 32 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers have been rescued after being trapped under snow following an avalanche near Mana village in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, officials confirmed late Friday. Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that out of the 57 workers initially trapped, 32 have been safely evacuated.
