The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)-Dholera semi high-speed double-line railway project at an estimated cost of Rs 20,667 crore, marking the first semi high-speed project of Indian Railways.
