India awards 28 oil and gas blocks as exploration push accelerates

The government has awarded 28 oil and gas blocks across eight sedimentary basins—spanning 1.36 lakh sq. km—under the latest bidding round, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Tuesday.
