Assembly by-polls begin in 13 seats across 7 states

Polling for the Assembly by-polls has started for 13 Assembly constituencies across seven states- Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday. The polling process that started at 7 am will conclude at 6 pm. 40.09 % voter turnout recorded till 1 pm, Himachal Pradesh leads with 48.63 % turnout

The seventh and the final phase of polling for Lok Sabha elections on June 1 across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh saw a voter turnout of 40.09 % till 1 pm, the Election Commission (ECI) said on Saturday. As per the ECI, Himachal Pradesh recorded a high voter turnout at 48.63% till 1 pm. Himachal Pradesh records highest voter turnout at 31.92 pc till 11 am, Odisha lowest at 22.64 pc
