Sensex plunges nearly 2 percent amid US tariff concerns

Indian stock markets plunged on Tuesday, the first trading session of the new financial year, as investors reacted to global trade tensions ahead of the US reciprocal tariff announcement on Wednesday. Indian share market ends lower, Nifty below 23,700

The Indian stock market closed in the red on Monday as a spike in volatility amid foreign institutional investors' (FIIs) outflow and global cues affected investor sentiment. Indian share market opens in green, Nifty above 23,800

The Indian stock market opened higher on Thursday as buying was seen in the PSU bank, auto, financial service and metal sectors on Nifty. Indian share market opens flat, Nifty above 23,900

The Indian stock market opened flat on Friday as the hawkish stance from the US Fed began to fade away. Buying was seen in auto, media and energy sectors in Nifty.
