1984 anti-Sikh riots: Delhi court convicts Sajjan Kumar in murder case

A Delhi court on Wednesday convicted former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar in connection with the killing of a father-son duo in the Saraswati Vihar area on November 1, 1984, during the anti-Sikh riots. New criminal laws into effect: IPC, CrPC, Indian Evidence Act will be replaced from today

In a move that will completely overhaul the criminal justice system in the country, three new criminal laws come into effect from today, July 1.
