Vice President election to be held on Sept 9, result on same day
The Election Commission of India has announced that the election to choose the next Vice President of India will be held on September 9, with counting of votes to take place the same day. According to the schedule released on Friday, August 21 is the last date for filing nominations, while the deadline for withdrawal of candidature is August 25.
