Cabinet approves Rs 275 hike in raw jute MSP for 2026-27

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday approved a hike in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of raw jute by Rs 275 to Rs 5,925 per quintal for the marketing season 2026-27. The Government of India has imposed new restrictions on the import of certain jute-based goods from Bangladesh.
