LPG price hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder from April 8

The Centre has announced a hike in the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 50, effective from April 8. The revised rates apply to both subsidised and non-subsidised 14.2 kg cylinders, including beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). Announcing the revision, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the price for PMUY consumers will increase from Rs 500 to Rs 550 per cylinder, while other domestic consumers will see a rise from Rs 803 to Rs 853.
