India’s industrial output grows by 1.2% in May 2025

India’s industrial production recorded a modest growth of 1.2 per cent in May 2025, according to the latest Quick Estimates released under the revised calendar for the Index of Industrial Production (IIP). The latest data shows a slight moderation in growth when compared to April 2025, when the IIP had registered an increase of 2.7 per cent.
