Indian markets open lower amid US tariff concerns

The Indian benchmark indices began the trading in red on Tuesday, after a draft notice published by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that US President Donald Trump plans to go ahead with 50 per cent tariffs on Indian goods from Wednesday. Nifty, Sensex start week in green following Asian rally but FPI outflows, tariff concerns weigh on sentiment

Indian equity markets started the fresh week with gains in the opening session on Monday, taking positive cues from a rally across other Asian markets. However, foreign portfolio investor (FPI) outflows and concerns over additional tariffs remain key challenges for the domestic indices to sustain the momentum. Sensex, Nifty fall as FPI selling, weak global cues weigh on sentiment

India’s benchmark indices declined in early trade on Friday, weighed down by sustained selling by Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) and weak global cues.
