Delhi Police registers 504 cases for MCC violations, arrests 17,879 ahead of assembly polls

Delhi Police has registered 504 cases for violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) between January 7 and January 22. The 70-seat Delhi Assembly is set to go to polls in a single phase on February 5, with votes to be counted on February 8. The police seized 270 unlicensed arms, 372 cartridges, and 44,256 litres of liquor valued at over ₹1.3 crore.
