SC grants bail to Former Bhushan Steel Promoter Neeraj Singal in Rs 46,000 crore money laundering case

The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Bhushan Steel promoter Neeraj Singal in a Rs 46,000 crore money laundering case; however, it has taken a strong exception on economic offences as it noted that the economy was shaken due to the alleged offence. A Bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and PV Sanjay Kumar granted bail to Singal observing that he was in jail for 16 months and the trial against him was not proceeding.
