Hamas says it’s ready for more ceasefire talks after prisoner exchange

Militant group Hamas said on Thursday it was ready to begin talks on the second phase of a ceasefire in Gaza after several hundred Palestinians were released from Israeli jails overnight in return for the bodies of four Israeli hostages. Gaza residents start to return north as crossing opened after hostage breakthrough

Italy pledges additional 35 million euros of aid for Palestinians

Italy will resume funding for the United Nations' Palestinian relief organisation UNRWA as part of a 35 million euro ($38 million) aid package, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Saturday.
