The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the payment of the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days for railway employees, amounting to Rs. 1,865.68 crore. Indian Railways and the State Bank of India on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide enhanced insurance benefits to railway employees maintaining salary accounts with SBI.
