Former J&K Governor Satyapal Malik dies at 79 after prolonged illness
Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik passed away in New Delhi on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. He was 79. According to his personal secretary, KS Rana, Malik died at 1:10 pm at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Malik served as the last Governor of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir from August 2018 to October 2019.
