Winter makes surprise return in Finland

Winter-like weather surprisingly returned to Finland on Tuesday (April 23), with heavy snow falling in and around the capital Helsinki.   According to Finnish broadcaster YLE, more than 20 centimetres of snow fell across most of southern Finland.   In Espoo, just north-west of Helsinki, 28 centimetres of snow was measured in the morning and more fell in the afternoon.   The late spring snow resulted in some public transport stoppages, with the whole tram network shutting down for some h...
