Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday unveiled various development projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in Sangareddy, Telangana. These projects span key sectors like road, rail, petroleum, and natural gas.

The PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for three National Highway projects, including the four-lane, 40 km Kandi to Ramsanpalle section of NH-161, a crucial part of the Indore – Hyderabad Economic Corridor. This project aims to enhance passenger and freight movement, significantly reducing travel time between Hyderabad and Nanded by about 3 hours.

Additionally, Modi inaugurated the upgrading of the 47 km Miryalaguda to Kodad Section of NH-167 to two lanes with paved shoulders, boosting tourism and economic activity in the region. He also laid the foundation stone for the six-laning of the 29 km Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65, providing improved connectivity to major industrial centers in Telangana.

Furthermore, the PM flagged off the inaugural MMTS Train Service from Ghatkesar to Lingampalli via Moula Ali and Sanathnagar, extending the suburban train service to new areas. This enhances connectivity between the eastern and western parts of the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin city regions.

Modi also inaugurated the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline, a 1212 km pipeline ensuring safe and economical transportation of petroleum products across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Lastly, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO) center in Hyderabad, designed to upgrade R&D activities in the civil aviation sector. Costing over Rs 350 crores, CARO is compliant with 5-STAR-GRIHA Rating and ECBC norms. It will focus on airspace and airport safety, capacity improvement, addressing challenges, and developing technologies for future needs.

PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar from March 4 to 6.
