Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha led a vibrant Tiranga rally on Tuesday, kicking off celebrations for India’s 78th Independence Day. The event, held in Agartala, saw widespread participation from students, BJP party members, and local officials.

In his address, CM Saha highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tricolor in Every Home) initiative, emphasizing its importance in honoring those who sacrificed for India’s independence. “We should celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign enthusiastically. This campaign, which began in 2022, will be observed in Tripura on August 13, 14, and 15,” Saha stated.

The Chief Minister also touched upon the state’s development agenda, referencing PM Modi’s HIRA model for Tripura, which focuses on enhancing Highways, Internet connectivity, Railways, and Airways. Saha stressed the importance of balancing progress with social harmony, stating, “Along with development, brotherhood should also exist.”

Prior to the rally, CM Saha participated in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) event in Agartala’s Battala area. He shared on social media platform ‘X’: “Proud to join the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign called by PM Narendra Modi. Let’s celebrate our independence in a clean & dignified environment, reflecting the true spirit of freedom.”
