UAE marks Gandhi Jayanti with tributes to the Mahatma

The Indian community in the UAE marked Gandhi Jayanti with tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, remembering his enduring message of peace, harmony and non-violence.

At the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal and embassy officials paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, reaffirming his timeless message of peace and non-violence. At the Consulate General of India in Dubai, Consul General Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, along with officials, paid floral homage to the bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the Consulate premises.

Young Indian students from a music school in the UAE also paid homage to the Mahatma with a soulful rendition of ‘Vaishnav Jan To’ in Arabic and Hindi, reflecting the universal appeal of Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and harmony.
