As the NDA government prepares to present the budget on July 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, fresh from successful visits to Russia and Austria, will meet with the country’s top economists and experts in New Delhi today.
This consultation aims to shape a roadmap for India’s development, expedite economic reforms to attract investment and discuss relief measures for the middle and lower-middle classes.
The meeting will see the participation of NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, other members, and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance. This budget is expected to significantly relieve industries and the middle and lower-middle classes.
Focus on Economic Reforms
The central government’s plan includes accelerating economic reforms to maximize investment. President Droupadi Murmu recently addressed both houses of Parliament and emphasized that the government would expedite reforms during its third term. The strategy focuses on boosting growth rates and increasing employment opportunities through higher investment. PM Modi will use today’s meeting to gather expert opinions on necessary reforms across various sectors.
