Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to attend IIMC’s 56th convocation ceremony on March 4

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is set to host its 56th Convocation Ceremony on March 4 at IIMC, New Delhi. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest in his capacity as the Chancellor of IIMC.

The ceremony will celebrate the achievements of 478 students from the 2023-24 batch across nine courses by conferring them with Post Graduate Diploma certificates. Students from IIMC’s main campus in New Delhi, along with its regional campuses in Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Kottayam, and Jammu, will receive their diplomas during the event.

Additionally, 36 outstanding students will be honored with medals and cash awards for their academic excellence.

Established in 1965, IIMC is India’s premier media training institution, offering PG Diploma programs in Hindi Journalism, English Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Radio and Television Journalism, Digital Media, and regional language journalism.

After being granted Deemed to be University status in 2024, IIMC has also introduced two postgraduate degree programs in Media Business Studies and Strategic Communication.
